Strong Q4 performance caps year of sustained expansion
DUBAI – Dubai South has reported its strongest year yet for private aviation, with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) recording 20,289 business aviation movements in 2025.
The figure represents a 17% increase compared to the previous year and marks the highest level of private jet activity ever recorded in Dubai.
The milestone underscores the emirate’s sustained appeal as a global centre for business, trade and tourism, supported by a packed calendar of high-profile international events and a steady rise in visitor numbers.
Record year
The 2025 total sets a new benchmark for Dubai’s aviation sector, reinforcing the strategic role of MBRAH within the wider ecosystem of Dubai South. The hub has evolved into a key destination for private jet operators, aerospace companies and aviation service providers seeking high-level connectivity and integrated infrastructure.
Momentum accelerated towards the end of the year. In the fourth quarter alone, MBRAH handled more than 6,926 movements, reflecting an 18% year-on-year increase compared to Q4 2024. The strong finish contributed significantly to the annual record, highlighting consistent demand across both business and leisure travel segments.
Event boost
Several global gatherings played a central role in driving traffic. Dubai Airshow 2025, GITEX Global and the World Government Summit were among the flagship events that attracted international delegates, executives and exhibitors, many of whom relied on private aviation.
Dubai’s position as a year-round hub for exhibitions, conferences, leisure and entertainment has further supported the growth trajectory. The emirate’s ability to host large-scale global events while maintaining seamless connectivity continues to enhance its standing among international travellers and corporations.
This aviation performance aligns with broader tourism data. According to the Dubai Economic and Tourism Department, the emirate welcomed 19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025, marking a 5% increase compared to 2024. The steady inflow of visitors has strengthened demand across multiple sectors, including premium and business travel.
Commenting on the milestone, Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, said the growth reflects Dubai’s continued evolution as a global centre for aviation, trade and tourism.
